Are your 308 lowers Mil-Spec?
This is a loaded question, as none of the Armalite AR-10 models were adopted by DoD/military, so there wouldn't be a mil-spec. Our SR25 / ar 10 lower has been modeled after the Armalite AR 10A model. This profile is standard on all AR-10 profile rifles and lowers, such as the SR25 rifle.
We purchased a DPMS Gen-1 LR-30880 80 lower receiver and
reverse-engineered it. Our lowers fit perfectly with their upper, and our upper
matches they're lower. Although there is no specific mil-spec for 308 AR-10
models, we machine billet aluminum lowers to tighter tolerances than the
typical shop tolerances, which are +/-0.005'. We machine the lower complete,
including faces, to tighter tolerances.
AR-10 308 80 Percent Lowers the Legal To Own and Build
Yes. According to the Gun Control Act of 1968, it is
legal to construct your firearm for personal use in any state in the U.S. as
long as you are legally allowed to own a firearm. New Jersey, for example, has
"Assault Weapons" bans that prevent you from building a firearm that
meets those criteria. However, you can still make a handgun on 10/22.
A Serial Number or Other Mark is Required
You don't need to add any serial numbers or other marks
unless you transfer the lower or firearm in the future. It can be assigned a
serial number for recovery purposes if lost or stolen, which we recommend.
Do I need an FFL to transfer funds?
You don't need an FFL to complete your ar10 lower receiver.
You also won't need to transfer the firearm to yourself. You don't need an FFL
if you decide to sell the complete lower or firearm that it was assembled.
Are your 308-80 Lowers made of 6061 or 7075 Aluminium?
All of our lowers are built in 6061-T6 standard. However,
we realize that some customers prefer 7075-T6, so that option is available
occasionally. We have to charge a premium because 7075 can significantly
increase material costs over 6061, such as 2.6-to-1.
Do bulk and volume discounts offer
Our AR 10 lowers is available in bulk pricing if you
purchase 10 or more - however, the discount will only be visible when you add
